Over the years we have developed products on our own when we can't find a product to solve a problem that our clients are having.

We ended up designing the Gram-Master because no one had a large volume (25-50 grams per shot) grease dispenser that filled during the dwell time.

We found that the Lincoln measuring valve and Graco gear drive systems would work great with dedicated pumps connected to the dispenser. But when you had 5 or 10 stations all calling for a shot of grease at the same time they would kill the supply line pressure and dispense cycle times became excessive.

So we solved the problems with our Gram-Master that fills during the dwell time between shots. We can do this because we included a grease filter before the adjustable fill flow control valve. We added grease filtering because of problems with pipe chips in the grease supply at large assembly plants that had central silo grease tanks that we installed. As the assembly lines moved in the plant the grease drops would be added and cleanliness was not very good so the pipes didn't even get raged out to remove the pipe chips generated by the pipe thread machines. Yep pipe chips, cigarette butts, little balls, springs, other assembly parts and even paint chips that would get in the grease supply and cause problems and unplanned downtime for the dispensers by plugging it or jamming it. Grease filters are recommended but not required on applications with dedicated pumps with short supply lines made from hydraulic hose. We offer our low cost Mini-Gram without a grease filter as long as it has the dedicated pump.
